My method.

When insight is not enough

Many people who come to me are thoughtful, self-aware and reflective.
They have already tried to understand their patterns. Yet the real shift doesn’t happen.

They feel stuck in relationships, work or life decisions - disconnected from their own clarity.

This is often not a mindset problem. It’s a sign that understanding alone hasn’t led to change.

“The problem is not the problem. Coping is the problem.” - Virginia Satir

Systemic counselling - understanding what shaped you

My work is systemic and resource-oriented, supporting you in understanding your patterns and using your resources to develop new ways of relating to yourself and others.

We look at your themes through a systemic lens and explore:

  • recurring patterns in relationships, work or family

  • beliefs and emotional dynamics shaped by your early environment

  • inner conflicts that keep you from moving forward

The goal is not endless analysis, but creating new perspectives that feel true and usable in your life.

At the same time, the work goes beyond insight. We don’t only look at what you think - but also at how you feel and respond.

Working with the body

Our bodies often hold what the mind has learned to ignore.

Tension, restlessness, numbness or fatigue can be expressions of stored emotional experiences.

Through my background as a yoga teacher, I bring a holistic perspective on mindfulness, the nervous system and body awareness into the process - where it supports deeper and more lasting change.

This can include gentle awareness, breath or movement to create space for what is held in the body.

For people who are ready to look deeper

If you’re looking for quick advice or surface-level solutions, this might not be the right space.

This work is for people who feel that “trying harder” is no longer the answer and who want to look at the root of problems.

It is about creating the conditions for real change - with gentleness, clarity and honesty.

You can work with me online or in person in Amsterdam Noord.
